Importing Another Wallet into Binance Wallet: What to Verify First

Know what importing means
Importing may bring an existing wallet into a new app interface, but it does not transfer custody responsibility to the service. Anyone with the recovery material may still control the wallet.
Use the correct recovery material
Confirm whether the source wallet uses a seed phrase, private key or another recovery method. Never paste it into a website, message or form, and avoid importing while another person can see the device.
Check the networks and balances
After importing, verify the wallet address, supported networks and token balances independently. A missing balance may reflect a different network or token display, not necessarily lost funds.
Plan the next security step
Remove recovery material from temporary notes, protect the device and review connected applications and approvals. If the source wallet may have been exposed, consider moving assets to a newly created wallet.
