Why a convenient backup method still needs privacy controls, an offline plan and a recovery test.
Backups are the key
A Web3 wallet is controlled by recovery information. A backup is not a password reset and should be treated as the most sensitive account material.
Keep recovery data offline
Do not send a seed phrase through chat, email or a form. Avoid screenshots and store a physical backup where other people cannot access it.
Test the recovery plan
Before keeping meaningful assets in a wallet, understand the recovery process and test it with a small amount or a separate empty wallet.
